January Counterfeit Kit Challenge

I always start of the year with the good intentions to get a lit of scrapping done... this year is the same. I want to join in with blog challenges and get more into my albums so I am once again joining in on the Counterfeit Kit Challenge, it is such a great way to use up all of my stash.... I seriously have enough to last 5 years.... if I can just get it all used.
This month the kit picked has a lot of teal/mint and navy colours in it. I have added a few extra colours as just using the two main colours in the kit would be near on impossible for me to stick to with all my girlie photos! The kit picked is by Kaisercraft title Wild Dreams, it is lovely but I want to make my scrapping goal attainable so the extra colour just has to be added to my kit.
Here are a few photos of what I have added to my kit - lots of patterned paper, stickers, flowers, flairs, doilies, gems, wood veneers and a stack of Colour Blast products because there is that Kaiser Craft mist in the centre pile of the original kit.

So as you can see my kit does not exactly look like the original, but mixing it up this way will get me using it. I already have a layout and photos in mind for my very first page.

  1. Tracey, that looks like a great kit to me. You've kept the basic colors and then added in bits of pinks, peaches and yellow to give it depth. I hope it kick starts your new year of scrapping.

  5. Mixing it up is definitely the way to make it work for you (don't forget that you are allowed to use the reverse sides of all those lovely cardstocks, as well as the 'main' sides.) I included a little bit of pink, peach and yellow in my own version x

  7. I love your added color! Hey! We have to make these kits suit our own style or they won't get used. Ask me how I know that. SMH!
