Today I found myself with a few moments spare so I hit the internet in search of a challenge to do...which lead me to the Counterfeit Kit Blog. As it is still pretty close to the start of August I had a look at the kit which is from Gossamer Blue and thought to myself they are not colours I usually use.... so this should be challenging.
This is the Counterfeit Kit;
I raided my stash as I using the selected counterfeit kit for inspiration and this is what I came up with - please excuse the lighting on the photos as it was dark when I took the photos and the flash cast a strange light onto them.
The Papers
I picked the papers first and tried to stick with the same family type with the colours - there were six things I told myself I was looking for when going through my papers - dark green, mustard yellow, stripes that match the same colours I have picked, navy floral, patterned red and a subtle pattern.
The Embellishments
Whilst looking for the embellishments I was telling myself - flat, colours to match, tags and labels. I picked some cut-a-part sheets as I do not have many tags, some project life cards, stickers and labels in similar colour scheme. Not too sure how it all will come together on a layout, but I am looking forward to the challenge.
Tracey your papers are wonderful. I'm jealous! The whole kit will be fun to use I'm sure. Looking forward to seeing what it produces.
ReplyDeleteI would definitely buy your kit! Love that half of your papers have pattern & the whole collection a wee bit more color variation yet stays grounded to the inspiration by the navy. Scrap on & show us what you make, please
