April Counterfeit Kit Blog Hop Reveal

Hello lovely peeps, what a kit we have to share with you this month "Garden Party" from Srapbook & Cards Today magazine.

"This colourful collection captures the colours and patterns of spring with papers from Dear Lizzy, Jen Hadfield, Paige Evans and Simple Stories with perfectly coordinating accents like silk flowers, twine tassels, mixed ephemera and bright buttons to add special touches to all project, an exclusive 4×6 stamp set, printable tags and kit cut files brings unique inspiration.Time tiptoe through the tulips and dance in the daffodils at the Garden Party!"

So with all this colourful prettiness in mind I searched my stash, I knew straight away that I had some of the Paige Evens papers so that was my starting point. I placed the umbrella, the checks and the cut a-part-sheet in the middle of my table and looked for similar colours in the rest of my paper stash. I pulled out some Cocoa Vanilla papers that complemented the original Paige Evens papers, I also keep in mind that it was all about a "Garden Party" so searched for flowers too then for a bit of a difference to my kit I included two different wood grains.

Next up..... embellishments. From the inspirational kit I followed the lead and added pink Thickers, word/sentence stickers, buttons and die cuts. To bulk out my kit a bit more I added butterfly paper clips, an old Heidi Swapp mirror acrylic butterfly (lol, you can see my fingers reflected in the mirror) and some cute tassels.

I must admit, I like how it turned out, so soft, pretty and delicate. I even thought of a name for it this month.... Spring Fling.

Anyhoo I hope that I have given you a few ideas for you to pull a kit of your own and now it is time for you to continue your journal on the Blog Hop. You should have found your way to my blog from Tina's and next up is Laura's. The Master List is below if you get lost of have just happened across my blog by chance and want to join in the hop.

Hugs
Tracey
