Pine Festivities Collection - Design Team Reveal for 3Quarters Collection

Hello everyone, today I am sharing my first layout created with the gorgeous Pine Festivities collection from 3Quarter Designs.

These fun photos were just perfect for this collection, and I loved surrounding them with all the beautiful festive details. I fussy cut the large Christmas wreath and offset it towards the top right of the page, allowing the layers of pine branches, pinecones, snowy flowers and touches of gold to frame the photos and become the main feature of the layout.

The banners were cut from separate patterned papers in the range, and they worked out perfectly for extending the design down the page while bringing in more of those beautiful patterns. I tucked the little lantern, bells and Believe element among the layers to add some lovely points of interest, then finished the page with black and gold splatters to complement the darker details and gold accents in the papers.

The soft creams, warm browns and deep forest greens work beautifully together, giving the collection a festive feel without being too traditionally Christmas. 

Even though it is nowhere near Christmas, Pine Festivities certainly has me feeling festive. It is another beautifully detailed and easy-to-create-with collection from 3Quarter Designs, with so many gorgeous elements for fussy cutting, layering and creating your own unique design.

Paper Tales Collection - Design Team Reveal for 3Quarter Designs

Hi everyone. I'm back with another Design Team layout featuring the gorgeous Paper Tales collection from 3 Quarter Designs, and I think it's safe to say this collection has completely won me over. After creating my first layout, I couldn't wait to dive back into the collection. Once I embraced the vintage feel, the ideas just kept flowing. This layout is all about collecting precious travel memories and tucking them safely inside a well loved envelope. Rather than using one large photo, I chose several smaller snapshots that peek out from the pocket, just like discovering old photographs hidden away in a keepsake box.

The beautiful vintage papers, clocks, tickets, maps and layered ephemera made it so easy to build depth and tell the story without taking the focus away from the photos. Giving my travel photos a soft vintage treatment before printing tied everything together perfectly and created a nostalgic feel that suits the collection so well.

Paper Tales is such a versatile collection. Whether you're documenting family memories, travel adventures or treasured moments from years gone by, everything coordinates effortlessly. I love how 3 Quarter Designs creates collections that make storytelling so easy, and this one has definitely become a favourite to create with.

This cluster was built to draw your eye down into the envelope. Layering torn papers, tickets, clocks and word strips behind the photos creates lots of depth and gives the layout that well collected vintage feel.

The compass and vintage map were the perfect additions for a travel themed page. They help tell the story while also balancing the layout and adding another layer of detail without overpowering the photos.

The envelope is the real feature of this layout. I loved the idea of using it to hold a collection of treasured memories rather than simply matting my photos. By varying the height of each photo, they look like old prints that have been gathered over years of adventures.

Printing my travel photos with a vintage sepia finish was the finishing touch for this layout. It helped blend them seamlessly into the collection and made them feel like treasured memories that have been rediscovered years later. Pine Festivities Collection - Design Team Reveal for 3Quarter Designs

 Hello everyone, today I am sharing my second layout created with the beautiful Pine Festivities collection from 3Quarter Designs.

For this layout, I wanted to focus on the playful toys and create more of a childlike Christmas feel. The rocking horse, teddy bear, Christmas stocking and other sweet little characters were perfect for capturing that magical excitement children bring to Christmas. 

I used the same photos again because they worked so perfectly with the collection, and I loved how the cheeky expression suited this fun design.

I built the layout with torn strips of patterned paper, then layered the photo and embellishments across the page to create a little Christmas scene. The snow globe became a lovely feature beside the photo, while the greenery across the top helped frame everything and balance the toys along the bottom. 

The music paper in the background and the Believe in the Magic of Christmas title add to that nostalgic festive feeling.

I love that Pine Festivities can create two completely different looks. My first layout focused on the elegant greenery and traditional details, while this one brings out the playful, childlike side of the collection. It is such a versatile range with so many beautiful images to fussy cut and layer.

Paper Tales Collection - Design Team Reveal for 3Quarter Designs

Hi everyone. Today I'm sharing a layout created with the gorgeous new Paper Tales collection from 3 Quarter Designs, a collection that definitely took me outside my comfort zone, but one that I ended up absolutely loving.

 

When I first opened the Paper Tales collection from 3 Quarter Designs, I'll admit I was a little out of my comfort zone. Vintage isn't a style I naturally gravitate towards, but that's exactly what made this collection so much fun to work with. It challenged me to think differently, layer a little more, and really embrace all those gorgeous papers, tickets, clocks and ephemera.

For this layout, I wanted to celebrate some special family memories, so I gave my photos a vintage treatment to complement the collection. I love how the aged look works with the rich papers and distressed embellishments, creating a layout that really suits the title, The Good Ol' Days. It has such a nostalgic feel and tells the story beautifully.

One of the things I love most about 3 Quarter Designs collections is how everything coordinates so effortlessly. Layer upon layer comes together naturally, making it easy to create depth and interest while still keeping the photos as the focal point.

If you've been wanting to try something a little different or step outside your usual style, I can't recommend Paper Tales enough. It surprised me in the best possible way, and I'm so happy with how this layout turned out. It just goes to show that sometimes the biggest creative challenges produce your favourite projects

Lunar Horoscopes collection - 3Quarter Designs

This month I had the pleasure of creating with the stunning Lunar Horoscopes collection from 3Quarter Designs. The rich midnight blues, soft neutrals and touches of gold immediately inspired me to create a page celebrating the special bond between my two daughters. Looking through older photos always brings back memories and these images were the perfect match for the dreamy, nostalgic feel of this collection.

For this layout I wanted the photos to remain the focal point while surrounding them with layers of celestial beauty. I used the gorgeous moon, florals, stars and vintage-inspired elements from the collection to create a large feature cluster that sweeps across the page. The ornate frames help draw attention to the photos while adding to the magical storybook feel.

One of my favourite techniques is fussy cutting, and Lunar Horoscopes certainly doesn't disappoint. The collection is filled with beautiful elements that can be layered and tucked together effortlessly. I added dimension throughout the page with foam tape and included loose gold thread behind the moon cluster to mimic constellations and create additional movement.

The deep indigo and gold starry paper along the bottom of the layout grounds the design and balances the lighter mixed-media style background above. Small hearts and stars were scattered throughout the page to help guide the eye across the design and reinforce the sentiment of the title.

I finished the layout with the simple phrase, "Love You to the Moon and Back", a sentiment that perfectly captures both the celestial theme of the collection and the love shared between sisters.

3Quarter Designs May release Floral Mechanica Collection

 There is something so special about a collection that can swing effortlessly between soft and industrial, and the Floral Mechanica Collection from 3Quarter Designs does exactly that. The stunning combination of rich, detailed florals paired with those beautifully grungy mechanical cogs creates a unique contrast that works for both masculine and feminine layouts. Whether you’re scrapping florals, family, or something a little cheeky like I am here, this collection gives you so much creative freedom.

For this layout, I documented my little mischief-maker — my cat who is honestly more monkey than feline — always climbing, always watching, and always supervising my scrapbooking from somewhere up high.

I used the large cog die cut as a foundation throughout the layout, cutting it into three separate pieces and then tucking them under florals and photos to ground each cluster and give that layered, dimensional look. The florals were fussy cut and built up in clusters to soften the page and balance out the stronger mechanical pieces.

Touches of gauze were added between layers to introduce texture and break up the heavier elements, while the butterflies from the collection help guide your eye across the page and add movement.

The title was kept soft and neutral so it didn’t compete with the detailed papers, and I nestled it into the clusters to make sure it felt connected rather than sitting on top.

To finish it all off, I added subtle stencilling and splatters to the background, which ties everything together and enhances the slightly worn, mixed-media feel that suits this collection so well.

This collection is honestly such a dream to work with — the graphics are rich and detailed, the florals are absolutely stunning, and those cogs add just the right amount of edge. I love how versatile it is, making it perfect for everything from soft, pretty layouts to more masculine or industrial designs.

And in this case… the perfect match for one very cheeky little “supervisor” who always prefers to watch from above.

3Quarter Designs Design Team reveal for the Floral Mechanica Collection

There is something truly special about the Floral Mechanica Collection from 3Quarter Designs. It is one of those rare collections that effortlessly blends two seemingly opposite styles — soft, romantic florals and bold, industrial mechanical elements — and somehow makes them work in perfect harmony. The rich coppers, warm browns and soft blues create a beautifully balanced palette, while the intricate graphics (think cogs, clocks, woodland creatures and layered florals) make this collection incredibly versatile for both masculine and feminine layouts.

For this layout, I documented a candid photo of Bronte taken while we were out at dinner. I absolutely love her cheeky smile in this photo — it feels so genuine and full of personality. These days it is rare to get a natural smile (there is a lot of pouting going on!), so this one definitely deserved a special page.

In the top left of the layout, I leaned right into the mechanical side of the collection. The printed cogs and that stunning ornate heart lock design create an instant focal point, and I enhanced that by adding real die-cut cogs layered over the top. This gives the page dimension and reinforces the mechanical theme while still allowing the beautiful printed details to shine through.

One of my favourite techniques is the use of twine. I’ve loosely looped it through two of the tags in the collection and then secured it across the page to create movement and guide the eye through the design. It softens the heavier cog elements and ties beautifully into the natural feel of the florals. The tags tucked into the clusters adds another layer of interest and helps build a dimensional, tactile look.

The title “Cheers to being perfectly engineered” was such a perfect fit for this collection. I combined different fonts and textures to mirror the contrast within Floral Mechanica — glitter script for softness and celebration, paired with structured, bold lettering to echo the mechanical elements. Grounding the title over the cogs helps anchor it into the design so it feels cohesive rather than floating.

Around the photo, I created layered clusters using the graphic prints on the collection, a few paper flowers and sequins. The steampunk-style animals and florals are just stunning — detailed, slightly whimsical, and full of personality. The pops of purple and pink florals against the warmer tones really lift the whole page.

What I love most about the Floral Mechanica Collection is its versatility. You can go heavy on the industrial elements for a more masculine feel, or lean into the florals for something softer — or, like I have here, combine both to create a unique and balanced design. It is perfect for everything from family moments to quirky subjects, and the level of detail in the artwork means every close-up tells its own little story.

This layout was such a joy to create, and the collection really did all the heavy lifting — those graphics, colours and textures make it so easy to build something layered and interesting without feeling overworked.

 

May Floral Mechanica Design Team reveal for 3Quarter Designs

The May collection from 3Quarter Designs, Floral Mechanica, is such a beautifully versatile collection. While it features those signature mechanical elements, it also includes the most stunning florals and butterflies, which is exactly what I wanted to highlight in this layout.

For this page, I chose to focus purely on the softer, feminine side of the collection by working only with the florals and butterflies—and I love how easily Floral Mechanica allows you to do that.

Instead of using a full patterned paper, I created my own background to better complement the colours in the collection. I used inks and stencils to build up soft layers, bringing in pink tones with subtle splashes of yellow and hints of teal.

This technique allows the embellishments from Floral Mechanica to really shine, while still tying everything together through colour and texture.

The florals in this collection are absolutely gorgeous and so easy to work with. I fussy cut a range of blooms and leaves and layered them to create full, dimensional clusters around my photo. By overlapping elements and tucking pieces in behind each other, I was able to create depth and movement without overwhelming the page. The softness of the artwork really lends itself to this kind of layering.

The butterflies in Floral Mechanica are just as beautiful as the florals, and I used them to help guide the eye across the layout.

I added some loose thread behind my clusters for texture and softness, and finished everything off with enamel dots and pearls scattered in small groupings. These little details help connect all the elements across the page and give it that finished look.

I finished the layout with the title “Radiant & Magical”, combining different fonts to add interest while still keeping the overall feel soft and cohesive. By tucking the title into the main cluster, it becomes part of the design rather than sitting on top of it, helping to ground the entire composition.

3Quarter Designs May Design Team reveal for the Twilight Ink collection

There is something so effortlessly beautiful about the Twilight Ink collection from 3Quarter Designs. The rich blend of soft blues, muted greens and inky depth creates the most stunning palette, and those florals… absolutely breathtaking. They are detailed, delicate and incredibly versatile, making it so easy to build layers and depth without overwhelming your page.

For this layout, I scrapped one of my most treasured photos of my heart dog, Nanook. I knew I wanted the focus to stay soft and emotive, so I created my own background using distressed vertical strips. By tearing the edges and layering them over a deeper toned base, it allowed the darker hues of the collection to peek through while still keeping an overall gentle, blended look.

In the first cluster, I layered florals tightly around the photo to really draw the eye inward. The blues in the flowers pick up perfectly on the tones in the background, and I added a few pearls to enhance that soft, romantic feel without adding heaviness.

 I included the sweet little deer element, which adds a whimsical touch without taking away from the elegance of the layout. Tucked into the florals with a few pearls scattered nearby, it helps complete the visual triangle and keeps your eye moving across the page.

The vertical strips underneath show off the distressing beautifully. Leaving the edges rough and slightly inked helps them blend naturally into the page, rather than feeling too structured. It’s a simple technique, but it really lets the collection colours do all the work.

Along the top of the layout, I fussy cut the floral border from one of the 12x12 papers and paired it with crocheted doilies. This combination adds such a beautiful contrast of texture – the printed florals bring that signature Twilight Ink elegance, while the doilies soften everything and give a slightly vintage, handcrafted feel.

One of my favourite details is the bow embellishment nestled into the florals. It adds a gentle focal point and a touch of dimension, while still keeping within the soft colour palette. The layering here is key – mixing fussy cut elements with subtle textures creates that full, rich cluster without bulk.

Finally, the small layered pocket on the right brings everything together. With soft textures, subtle layering and a hint of twine, it adds just enough interest without competing with the photo. It’s these little finishing touches that really make the Twilight Ink collection shine.
