Hello and welcome to the March Counterfeit Kit Reveal Blog Hop.
Such a lovely kit this month that was picked by Lori Strop, there is so much to look at and enjoy in the Citrus Twist's February 2020 Scrapbooking Add-on kit.
You should have arrived at my page from Tina's blog on your blog hop journey. If you didn't I have popped the rest of the blogs in a list at the end of this post.
My inspiration was drawn from the soft pallet of colours, the warm peachy pinks, the subtle blues, minty greens with the mustard yellow thrown in. The different florals and patterns drew my eye as well.
I actually started in my pile of large pieces of offcuts or scraps, where I pulled a lot of the patterned paper, I know it doesn't look like it in the photo but I have tucked them under each other. I pulled together a large range of different patterns; stripes, florals, hearts, birds, rainbows, dots... just to name a few. My intent was to have the same soft pallet of colours then hopefully when I create a layout I can make the patterns work together.
When I studied the embellishments for the kit I notices soft colours again, flowy script writting, die cuts and bows.
With that in mind I dug deep into my embellishment draw. I usually scrap with brighter colours so I didn't actually think I would find many accents to match. I was wrong! I found a large range of diecuts and cutapart sheets, some sticker sheets, soft scripty puffy titles and other various embellishments that I have had in my stash for a long time. The only thing I was disappointed not to have found were the bows.... but nevermind I have found a way to recreate some for the forgery on the Forth.
Here is the full list for the blog hop so you don't get lost:
Hope you have a fabulously scrappy March.
