August Counterfeit Kit Creative Team Reveal

Hello wonderful people, welcome to August. I am finding it hard to believe it is August already, what a werid year it has been in 2020. Here in Australia we have had bushfires, floods, hail storms, droughts and now like everywhere else COVID. So far my family has stayed safe, my heart goes out to you all who has been touched by the year it has been.

If you are here following along with the Counterfeit Kit Blog Hop then welcome, you are almost at the end. If you have just randomly popped in to my blog to have a look around, then welcome too. You can check out the blog hop list at the end of my post and continue along the trail.

For the inspiration this month Tina picked a Hip Kit Club kit, going back a year to August 2019's Main Kit withs its lovely colours, fun embellishments and wonderful patterns it should be a blast to use.

When looking at the Hip Kit inspiration I was drawn to the pinks, oranges and dark blue colours. I saw chevrons, spots and florals in the patterns and a eclectic assortment of embellishments, all of which will make for a super fun kit to play with.
With all that in mind I shopped my stash and this is how it turned out. I pulled the papers with pinks, oranges and mint green (on the left) first, then looked for a few extra patterns that would complement them. At this stage I added the patterns on the rightside. Lastly I riffled through my blue stash looking for dark blue or navy colours. I really like how they all look together and my brain is already thinking of how I will use them.

Next I went through my embellishments and pulled stickers, die cuts, frames in the colours similiar to the original Hip Kit Club kit.
By adding the embellishments that I have picked I think I have updated my pappers a bit as some of them are pretty old. By using the older papers with newer embellishments makes the layout that I create feel fresher.

Here is the Blog Hop List to help you along your way. From here you have one last blog to visit, that is lovely Laura's so click on the link below and see what she has put together for you.

Well I hope that you like what I have put together, please share the kit you put together with us, we would love to see it.

Hugs
Tracey
