Mrs Aeronaut Collection - Design Team Reveal for 3Quarter Designs

Hello everyone, today I'm sharing my layout I created with the beautiful Mrs Aeronaut collection from 3Quarter Designs. It’s not often Paige swaps her usual tomboy style for something a little more girly, so this photo from her Year 10 Graduation was the perfect match for this collection. I love how the elegant florals soften the page, while the clockwork cogs, butterflies and vintage steampunk details add just the right amount of edge to reflect her personality. It really is the perfect balance of feminine and strong. Although Paige would argue with me over the deep pinks in the collection - I think it is perfect. 

One of the things I love most about the 3Quarter Designs 12x12 collections is that they really do contain almost everything you need to create a beautiful layout. The papers, fussy-cut elements and coordinating embellishments work together so effortlessly that your page is almost three-quarters complete before you even start adding your own finishing touches. 

From there, it's simply a matter of making it your own. For me, that usually means a little extra texture with a stencil, a few splatters, perhaps an enamel dot or two, and sometimes a title. Although, with all the gorgeous printed graphic papers included in the collections, even that isn't always necessary.

The Photo / Memory Mats are one of my favourite additions to the 3Quarter Designs collections. They make planning your photo placement so much easier and double as a protective cover while adding those final splatters and finishing touches.

For this layout I couldn't resist reaching for the Gimme More Pack, where I used one of the rice paper pieces as my title. The "Believe in yourself and you can do great things" sentiment that I tore from the rest of the rice paper was the perfect finishing touch for a graduation layout and tied the whole design together beautifully.

Timeless Gallery Collection - Design Team Reveal for 3Quarter Designs

Hello everyone, welcome back, today I'm sharing my Design Team layout I created with the gorgeous Timeless Gallery collection from 3Quarter Designs.

I have to admit, when I first opened this collection I was completely stumped, It's so different from my usual scrapbook style that I wasn't sure where to begin. But once I embraced the idea of creating a gallery wall, everything just clicked. 

Layering the beautiful frames, shelves, home décor pieces and treasured family photos together became so much fun, and before long my layout started to feel like a warm, welcoming family home.

This page is filled with some of my most precious memories. I included our wedding photo, a few favourite family photos with the girls, a special photo of Adrian and me, and even a photo of our very first Malamutes, Nanook and Sharnii. Having all of these memories displayed together really makes it feel like walking into a home where every picture tells part of our family's story. 

One of the things I loved most about this collection was building the scene. Instead of creating traditional embellishment clusters, I treated the page like I was decorating a room. The shelves, books, lamps, clocks, plants and vases all help create balance while naturally drawing your eye from one photograph to the next. The wainscoting background ties everything together beautifully and gives the whole page a cosy vintage feel without overwhelming the photos.

This collection really challenged me to think differently, and I'm so glad it did. Sometimes stepping outside your creative comfort zone is exactly what you need, you might just surprise yourself with what you create. Timeless Gallery is unlike anything I've worked with before, but it was such a rewarding collection to scrapbook with and one that allows you to tell your story in a completely unique way.

Violet Dreams Collection - Design Team Reveal for 3Quater Designs

Hello everyone, today I am sharing my latest Design Team layout created with the beautiful Violet Dreams collection from 3Quarter Designs. Violet Dreams is filled with rich purples, soft pinks, fresh greens and the most beautiful detailed florals. The whimsical birdhouses, butterflies and sweet little animals add so much charm, while the darker touches provide enough contrast to stop the collection from feeling overly soft. It is a lovely range for family photos, spring memories or any layout that needs a pretty, slightly whimsical feel.

For this layout, I chose a selection of photos celebrating the special bond between sisters. I created one central photo area and surrounded it with layers taken from the collection, allowing the photographs to remain the focus while still showing off all those gorgeous details. To add a little extra texture to the layout, I tucked strips of corrugated cardboard and delicate lace between the patterned paper layers. These contrasting textures add interest and dimension without taking attention away from the photos or the beautiful details in the Violet Dreams collection.

I fussy cut the large birdhouse and layered it with florals to create the main cluster in the top left corner. A smaller birdhouse, open book and floral arrangement were added to the bottom right, repeating the imagery and helping to balance the page. The “Lovely Sisters” title was nestled into the middle cluster with another butterfly and flower, keeping it connected to the design rather than floating separately.

One product I found particularly useful while creating this page was the new 3Quarter Designs Photo / Memory Mats. I used them to pre-place where I wanted my photographs to sit, which made planning the layout and arranging the surrounding layers so much easier. I could move things around, test different positions and build the page without repeatedly handling or potentially damaging my final photographs.

The Photo / Memory Mats were also perfect when it came time to add my final touches. I simply placed them back over the photographs before adding my splashes and splatters of ink, protecting the photos while still allowing me to finish the page in my usual style. They are also such a clever option for sharing layouts online. In a time when many people prefer not to post photographs of their children or family members publicly, the Photo / Memory Mats allow you to protect their privacy while still showing off your scrapbooking, design choices and creative process. You can photograph the layout with the mats in place and then add the personal photographs when the page is safely back in your album.

Violet Dreams Collection - Design Team Reveal for 3Quater Designs

Today I am sharing my latest Design Team layout for 3Quarter Designs, created with the beautiful Violet Dreams collection. Violet Dreams is such a gorgeous range to work with. The combination of soft purples, fresh greens and beautiful florals gives the collection a lovely spring feel, making it perfect for these sweet photos of the girls with the lambs.

The collection is filled with the cutest animal images, and I couldn’t resist making the large duck a feature of my page. I positioned it beside the larger photo and nestled it into the floral border so it felt connected to the design rather than simply sitting on top. 

The little rabbits were then added to the opposite side as a smaller supporting cluster, helping to carry the playful animal theme across the layout.

Another feature I really wanted to highlight was the collection of ornate frames. They were far too beautiful to hide behind the photographs, so I layered the different purple and green frames around the page and allowed sections of them to remain visible. They add depth and structure while helping to guide the eye from one photograph to the other.

The title “So Sweet” was an easy choice for these photos. I positioned it across the frames and the top of the smaller photograph so it became part of the main design rather than floating separately on the background.

To give the page a little more definition, I hand-drew a dark-purple border around the outside. I deliberately kept the lines loose and uneven, then added small groups of dots around the border and focal areas. This suited the whimsical feel of the collection and helped contain all the detail within the page.

One of the things I love about 3Quarter Designs collections is how beautifully everything coordinates. The patterned papers, borders Mats, tag, frames and all the fussy-cut elements give you such a strong foundation, while still leaving plenty of room to layer, experiment and add your own style.

 Violet Dreams is perfect for spring photos, farm visits, Easter memories or any page that calls for pretty florals and a touch of whimsy. The adorable animals really do make this collection something special.

Timeless Gallery Collection - 3Quarter Designs Reveal

 Hello everyone, today I'm sharing my second layout created with the beautiful Timeless Gallery collection from 3Quarter Designs. This layout brought back so many childhood memories for me. As soon as I started playing with the Timeless Gallery collection, I was reminded of spending hours decorating my dollhouse, carefully arranging furniture, pictures and little treasures until everything felt just right. That's exactly how creating this page felt, building a cosy room one piece at a time and finding the perfect home for each photo and embellishment.

For this page I imagined a family room filled with the memories that mean the most to us. The shelves, books, lamps, vases and home décor pieces all work together to create a warm and inviting scene, while the framed photographs become the heart of the layout. I love how the wallpaper background instantly gives the feeling of stepping into a home where every picture has a story to tell.

Rather than creating traditional embellishment clusters, I used the decorative pieces as though I was styling a room. Tucking books onto the shelves, balancing the lamp with the vase and layering the smaller décor items across the cabinet helped create a natural flow while keeping the focus firmly on the photos. The title banner, Moments Frozen in Time, was the perfect finishing touch and captures exactly what scrapbooking is all about.

Timeless Gallery has been such a fun collection to work with and has definitely pushed me outside my usual style. It reminded me that sometimes the most enjoyable projects are the ones that challenge you to think differently.

Shutter Glam Collection - Design Team Reveal for 3Quarter Designs

Today I'm sharing a layout created with the stunning Shutter Glam collection from 3 Quarter Designs. I have to say, this has quickly become one of my favourite collections to date. The beautiful combination of soft pinks, rich burgundies and creamy neutrals creates such an elegant palette and was absolutely perfect for these special photos.

I wanted to create lots of depth and layering, so I tucked film strips, vintage frames and florals behind my photos before finishing the page with touches of hessian and lace flowers. 

These little details add texture and help frame the photo cluster without taking away from the photos themselves. 

One of the things I love most about Shutter Glam is how beautifully everything coordinates. The papers, embellishments and photo mats work together effortlessly, making it easy to build layers and create a page full of interest while still keeping it soft and elegant.

Pine Festivities Collection - Design Team Reveal for 3Quarters Collection

Hello everyone, today I am sharing my first layout created with the gorgeous Pine Festivities collection from 3Quarter Designs.

These fun photos were just perfect for this collection, and I loved surrounding them with all the beautiful festive details. I fussy cut the large Christmas wreath and offset it towards the top right of the page, allowing the layers of pine branches, pinecones, snowy flowers and touches of gold to frame the photos and become the main feature of the layout.

The banners were cut from separate patterned papers in the range, and they worked out perfectly for extending the design down the page while bringing in more of those beautiful patterns. I tucked the little lantern, bells and Believe element among the layers to add some lovely points of interest, then finished the page with black and gold splatters to complement the darker details and gold accents in the papers.

The soft creams, warm browns and deep forest greens work beautifully together, giving the collection a festive feel without being too traditionally Christmas. 

Even though it is nowhere near Christmas, Pine Festivities certainly has me feeling festive. It is another beautifully detailed and easy-to-create-with collection from 3Quarter Designs, with so many gorgeous elements for fussy cutting, layering and creating your own unique design.

Paper Tales Collection - Design Team Reveal for 3Quarter Designs

Hi everyone. I'm back with another Design Team layout featuring the gorgeous Paper Tales collection from 3 Quarter Designs, and I think it's safe to say this collection has completely won me over. After creating my first layout, I couldn't wait to dive back into the collection. Once I embraced the vintage feel, the ideas just kept flowing. This layout is all about collecting precious travel memories and tucking them safely inside a well loved envelope. Rather than using one large photo, I chose several smaller snapshots that peek out from the pocket, just like discovering old photographs hidden away in a keepsake box.

The beautiful vintage papers, clocks, tickets, maps and layered ephemera made it so easy to build depth and tell the story without taking the focus away from the photos. Giving my travel photos a soft vintage treatment before printing tied everything together perfectly and created a nostalgic feel that suits the collection so well.

Paper Tales is such a versatile collection. Whether you're documenting family memories, travel adventures or treasured moments from years gone by, everything coordinates effortlessly. I love how 3 Quarter Designs creates collections that make storytelling so easy, and this one has definitely become a favourite to create with.

This cluster was built to draw your eye down into the envelope. Layering torn papers, tickets, clocks and word strips behind the photos creates lots of depth and gives the layout that well collected vintage feel.

The compass and vintage map were the perfect additions for a travel themed page. They help tell the story while also balancing the layout and adding another layer of detail without overpowering the photos.

The envelope is the real feature of this layout. I loved the idea of using it to hold a collection of treasured memories rather than simply matting my photos. By varying the height of each photo, they look like old prints that have been gathered over years of adventures.

Printing my travel photos with a vintage sepia finish was the finishing touch for this layout. It helped blend them seamlessly into the collection and made them feel like treasured memories that have been rediscovered years later.
