Day 18 - Multiphoto

I’ve done it again—jumping ahead in the prompts! With limited time over the weekend, I chose to create a layout based on the vision I had in my mind. I wanted to feature lots of photos and hanging tags, and since I still had the Paper Rose collection papers on my desk, I knew they’d be the perfect fit. I’m thrilled with how it turned out!

This layout captures the fun we had swimming in the cool, refreshing waters of Berry Springs, right in the heart of the Australian bush. The Paper Rose Nature Stroll collection was the ideal choice, featuring beautiful bush florals and animals that perfectly complement our adventure. 

A large photo alongside three smaller ones was the perfect way to incorporate multiple photos into this layout, enhanced by hanging tags for a playful touch.

Day 16 - Cutfile, Punch or Dies

I know I have jumped ahead three prompts and skipped days 14 and 15 but I promise I will catch up.... my excuse is that I just had to scrap this photo of the girls that I forgot I had in my pile of photos. It's not often these days I get photos of the girls being nice to each other (typical teenagers) so I just had to use these beautiful papers from Paper Rose. A lot of fussy cutting teamed with the required die-cut leaves and title as the prompt inspiration. 

I thought I would add a few close up shots so you can see the detail of the die-cuts and how perfectly well they match the patterned papers. I love using double-sided patterns with the dies as they give you two colour or pattern options to use on your layout. For something a bit different, I decided to try the dies with some vellum and created a few extra leaves and vines to include in the clusters and then I did a word for the title. 

I really love how the layout has turned out—soft, feminine but also outdoorsy (is that a word?). The added touches of tiny gems and spray splatters finish it off. 

Scraptember - Days 11, 12 and 13 - catcup

 It has been so busy here that I have fallen a bit behind but I am committed to doing all the Scrapbtember prompts!! Here are a few that I have done so far.

Day 11 - Long Title

I wanted to try something a little different for this layout of Bronte in her peach dress, I wanted to use angles to create a dynamic and visually engaging layout that draws the eye, after all as Life is about how you look at things. It’s all about perspective and the angles you choose to see and Bronte certainly sees life differently. 

Day 12 - Holiday

I really didn't need a prompt to scrap any of our Hawaii Holiday photos (which there are many) but seeing as Holiday was the prompt, how could I say not! A bit of mixed media and doodling, with some simple embellishment to create a fulfilled page, that goes along with the topic of learning to surf on Waikiki Beach!! 

Day 13 - Mixed Media 

For the prompt of Mixed Media I wanted to create a complete layout using just mixed media, so I pulled out my Colour Blast Colour Pastes and Shimmer Sprays, with stencils and then some stamping. A lot of messy fun but I love how the layout has turned out, pretty and delicate.

Scraptember Days 9 and 10

 Two more layouts done today for Scraptember. Prompts 9, which is Horizontal and 10, which is Florals.

A bright and cheery layout with horizontal photos, torn paper and title. I took so many photos whilst holidaying in Hawaii and popping them into small photo strip's is a great way to scrap a heap of them at the same time.

Day 10 prompt was floral.... which I love! So this layout came together really easy and quickly. I also used a sjetch from Paper Issues for inspiration. I really like the look of having the flowers and papers running down the edges, it really stands out from other layouts.

Well it's Sunday night, so I've run out of weekend to keep scrapping. Hopefully I get some free time during the week, or I won't be able to catch up.

Scraptember Day 8 - New Supply

 Another one for today, I'm on a roll in my creative space. The day 8 prompt is New Supply.... so my newest stash came out ..  my September Kitaholic Kit. I must admit when I opened the kit I thought it was pretty but the Bella Blvd Just Because Bella Bessie's stumped me a bit as they are very muted patterns and pretty repetitious between them, I thought I would just be using them for backgrounds. But after now creating two layouts from the kit I am in love with them. 

Anyway I used two older photos of the girls when they were both in Daycare and used to love playing together. 

Well that's it for today.... I'm slowly catching up. Only 7 more daily prompts to catch up with today's date! 

Scraptember Days 6 and 7

 Two quick catch-up layouts for Days 6 and 7 prompt for Scraptember.

Day 6 prompt was School.... well I put a bit of a twist on it and scrapped my Graduation from my studies last year. It counts right?

Day 7 prompt was "No People" so I scrapped about my daughter's furbaby Beat, who is very similar in looks and personality to Fizzgit the puppet in the movie The Dark Crystal. What do you think? Similiar?

Now back to my scrap desk to see what the next set of prompts are. Happy scrapping everyone.

Scraptember Day 3 White 12x12

 A white background is a core for me, one of my most used supplies is white cardstock so this promp for Day 3 from Scraptember was made for me. 

I teamed it with a photo of Paige with a messy face so to keep the mess going I created a messy background and distressed my patterned papers.

I had another go at recording my process... I really need to keep practicing more to work on my voice overs. Let me know what you think any tips or hints are always welcome.

Scraptember Day 2

 The second prompt for Scraptember was "favourite supplies." My all time  favourite has to be patterned paper, the feel and smell of new crisp patterned paper reminds me of my childhood and the start of a new school year when Mum would bring home the school supplies for the year and I had to contact the books. The suptle yet overwhelming smell of the supplies always got me excited for a new school year and the feeling of scrapbook or stationary shopping still makes me happy.

Anyhoo I just had to pick patterned paper as my favourite so I wanted to create a layout that showed off lots of different papers so what better way than small square examples of different ones. 

I teamed it with this photo of Paige on a beautiful old antique merry-go-round. 

It's Scraptember

 I decided to give Scraptember a go this year... what is that you ask? A month long crop with a daily promp to use to get scrapping run by The Scrappy Sisters.... it's only the 3rd and already I'm behind! 

I plan on catching up so I am going to go in order, so today was prompt one: Stickers. I decided to use my first Kitoholic Kit as it has a 12x12 sticker sheet and a cute packet of small puffy stickers, so perfect. I used the cute car sticker as inspiration and two photos of Bronte just as she got her P plates.... so now she is Licensed to Drive. 

I also decided to record my process although somewhere along the way the camera stopped with me unaware... so it's half a video with me talking about how I finished it off..... so more practice is required to get it right. But pop in and have a look, let me know what you think.
